The Second Annual Bay Area Crossword Puzzle Tournament, a charity event to benefit the California Dictionary Project, will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009, from 10:30am to 3:00pm at Alameda High School in the lovely island city of Alameda.
Five-time ACPT champion Tyler Hinman is constructing a custom Sunday-sized puzzle for the tournament, and Will Shortz is donating the following week's Monday-Wednesday puzzles, so you know the puzzles will be top quality, challenging, and fun.
Prizes have doubled this year to a top prize of a $100 Amazon gift certificate. Registration is just $25 in advance, $30 at the door. To register, visit
