Chronicle of Higher Education crossword is permanently discontinued?

Is it common knowledge by now that the Chronicle of Higher Education (listed here on the cruciverb.com Crossword Publisher Comparison Chart) is no more? I submitted a puzzle to Brad Wilber, editor, who responded: "Please be advised that the Chronicle of Higher Education crossword puzzle was permanently discontinued as of 3/1/2020." I found no mention of this fact on the Chronicle's website, and there's still a link to the Chronicle's style sheet, so hopefully no one else endeavors to submit a puzzle to the Chronicle only to find out it's now obsolete. :-(

This is pretty well known.  The puzzle went print only and then shortly thereafter got completely discontinued.  While it was a nice thing while it was going, sadly it didn't have the support from the higher-ups, so it's gone now.
