Puzzles too similar?
« on: January 29, 2018, 10:27:22 AM »
I have a pair of puzzles whose themes center around the words ERA, EON, and AGE, but in different ways.  In both puzzles, there are three theme entries (one for each word).  One puzzle uses straight up word play with phrases that these words already appear in and the other adds each word to an otherwise unrelated phrase.  Is this enough similarity to annoy editors if I send them to different outlets and both end up being published?

On a side note, would using three different words rather than just, say, AGE three times (which has been done) bring up consistency issues, or is it enough that they're all periods of time?

Thanks for your thoughts!
