LAT Publication Process
« on: May 03, 2011, 09:44:23 PM »
I recently received notice of my first acceptance by the LA Times, and I'm hoping a constructor who's worked with them recently can fill me in on the process from here.

The e-mail from Rich's assistant told me the puzzle had been accepted, but no more than that. Should I expect a constructor's agreement via mail or e-mail sometime soon? Also, I know that the time from acceptance to publication will vary, but does anyone have recent experience with the acceptance-publication gap for a Sunday puzzle in the LA Times Syndicate?

Thanks in advance to anyone who indulges my impatience and takes the time to answer my questions that would all be resolved in time anyway.

Congrats!

Rich will e-mail you when he decides on a publish date. It could be a several months away. You'll respond to that e-mail with your name/address/and SSN. The check comes weeks after your puzzle is published. That's it.
