I have no idea what IMHO stands for in e-mail.  I imagine users of this letter combinations are more pressed for time than I; I'll spend the extra ten seconds to keep my reader from having to guess, but then I won't be cool and may fail to convey the sense that I'm seriously pressed for time.   And what if the reader doesn't understand the abbreviation?  Must communication takes a backseat to exhibiting one's grating hipness?   

BTW, if Lila married Jerry Garcia, she'd be Lila Cherry Garcia.
