Repeating words in theme entries
« on: August 23, 2020, 11:21:46 AM »
Hi! New constructor here. I know repeating words are a no-go, but I’m wondering if there are ever exceptions in terms of theme entries. (Specifically, I have a wordplay-based theme where all the theme entries begin with “the.”) Any chance this would be acceptable?

THE is considered one of those "small" words that can be repeated in the grid. If your theme entries are all real "things" (movie/song/book titles, familiar figures of speech, official names of something) it should not be a problem if they all start with THE.
