Famous "Maze" puzzle
« on: January 12, 2009, 01:59:04 PM »
Hello -

I am trying to locate a puzzle that was referenced in "WordPlay".  It has been described to me as the "maze puzzle'.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for this?

Thank you.

It's included in a booklet that comes with the Wordplay DVD.

Are you referring to Patrick Merrell's "Laboratory Maze"?  I encountered that in the New York Times Sunday Crossword Omnibus: Volume 9, and I loved it!  Finished it in one sitting.  It's puzzle #185 in the book.

Have you seen the one with the chessboards?  "Smooth Move", by Derrick Niederman.  Same book, #180.
