The Play’s the ThingI thought we were getting a boat trip down the Thames or the Avon, but it was a trip to the NATIONALTOYHALLOFFAME on ROLLERSKATES. Never knew the hall existed, but it would seem like fun to visit.
While there was just one tickler, the cluing was clever in its own way giving us unusual looks at some words and phrases. Some were:
1943 Allied conference site   TEHRAN [surprising!  then mostly called Teheran]
Contemporary of Boris   LON
Tool used in a bed   HOE
Capital south of the Black Sea   ANKARA
Crunchy Mexican munchies   HARDTACOS [aren’t all tacos hard by definition]
Snow in Milano   NEVE [Why not stay in English and go with the actress Campbell?]
RATING:
Three grins = Excellent: Loved it; Two grins = Good: Enjoyed it; One grin = Satisfactory: A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Unsatisfying: No fun
