THEME:   none, but unique grid with only 25 blocks

GOOD ONES:
First of August?    CAPITAL A
It's all in your head   DREAMS

BTW:
It has been 60 years since I heard "Bonomo's Turkish Taffy."  Probably on TV.  Hard to believe it stuck.  Can it still be on the market?

Never knew SPINAL TAP had an umlaut --- even more ridiculous (I'd say funnier) than they were.

Tersa RIMA is a poetic form studied in English.

This was harder than it was clever, except for the construction which seems impossible.  BORAH, MEDES, SKALD, DANTON, TOVE were tough, but fair.  ORE MINER and UNANGELIC are odd but, given the difficulty of construction, understandable.

RATING: ;D ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
