BTW:
Opposite of apres AVANT [oddly apres is acceptable, but not AVANT because the former is found often in our language]
Offended outburst THE NERVE [less an ouburst than an utterance]
Hardly a warm reaction BRR [I see BRR as an expression rather than a reaction, like a shiver --- maybe a distinction without a difference]
I liked this puzzle, and all of Barry's, for its challenge, but I find it more an achievement by the constructor than a desire to entertain.
